After dinner we hopped on the City Circle tram which took us straight to the Harbour Town shopping centre in Docklands.

Unsure of what to expect, we entered a dark room with glowing walls painted to an Australian theme.

We went on a Saturday night at about 8pm, and this appeared to be rush hour. Because of the small area there was a lot of congestion and we found ourselves waiting for people, and having to hurry up ourselves to stop people waiting.

This wasn’t a huge issue, but if you’re looking for a slow, relaxing date with plenty of time to chat and a bit of space, then this was definitely not it. We still had a good time (despite the fact I lost), but I’d definitely recommend going at a quieter time for a more ‘date-like’ experience.

Because of the peak hour traffic within the mini-golf course, we finished our game within 45 minutes, so we decided to waste some time (and money) at the arcade that was open next door. Neither of us had been to an arcade in years so this was a lot of fun and the dragon tattoos we won with our tickets were definitely worth the money spent.

Overall, the Glow-in-the-dark Mini-golf was a fun date and a cute gimmick. If you’re thinking of going, I’d recommend a slightly earlier time. It’s also very chilly down by the harbour, so if you’re going in the near future definitely bring a jacket.
